쇼몬테이 후쿠라이란?
백 가지 이야기의 밤을 이끄는 이야기꾼
쇼몬테이 후쿠라이란 Manga Portal의 만화 「괴담 걸작선 ―백 가지 이야기의 밤―」에서 모든 화의 이야기꾼을 맡은 라쿠고가(일본 전통 만담가)입니다. 고이즈미 야쿠모의 원전에는 등장하지 않는, 만화판의 오리지널 인물입니다.
각 화의 첫머리에서 불을 낮춘 무대에 올라 촛불을 세우고, '에, 오늘 밤은 백 가지 이야기 중 한 편을' 하며 앞으로 들려줄 괴담의 서두를 엽니다. 이야기가 끝나면 여운 속에서 촛불을 불어 끄고 그날 밤의 한 편을 마무리합니다. 같은 이야기꾼은 「라쿠고 걸작선」에도 등장합니다.
'햐쿠모노가타리(백 가지 이야기)'란 밤에 사람들이 모여 괴담을 하나씩 이야기하고, 이야기를 하나 마칠 때마다 등불을 하나씩 꺼 가던, 에도 시대에 유행한 놀이입니다. 후쿠라이의 이야기는 이 백 가지 이야기의 분위기를 만화로 느낄 수 있도록 이끄는 안내 역할을 합니다.
