小泉八雲 怪談故事大綱

「怪談傑作集 ―百物語之夜―」是一部漫畫作品，把小泉八雲（拉夫卡迪奧・赫恩）的怪談改編成一則一則的漫畫。小泉八雲在明治時代來到日本，後來取了日本名字。他把日本古老的傳說和古書裡的故事，用英文重新寫成怪談。本作主要根據《怪談（Kwaidan）》（1904年），其中〈茶碗之中〉則出自《骨董》（1902年）。

第1話〈無耳芳一〉講的是盲眼琵琶法師芳一，被在壇之浦滅亡的平家亡靈召去。他全身寫滿經文保護自己，卻忘了寫在耳朵上，結果兩隻耳朵都被奪走。第2話〈雪女〉中，樵夫巳之吉在暴風雪的夜晚被饒了一命，後來卻打破了和妻子阿雪的約定。

第3話〈貉〉是無臉妖怪「野篦坊」的故事：有人在夜晚的紀伊國坂，先後遇見沒有臉的姑娘和沒有臉的蕎麥麵小販。第4話〈轆轤首〉裡，原本是武士的僧人回龍，和一家頭會脫離身體的妖怪交手。第5話〈茶碗之中〉講年輕家僕關內，喝下了映在茶碗裡的陌生臉孔，是一個沒有結局的奇妙故事。

第6話〈青柳〉描寫年輕武士友忠和柳樹精青柳的相戀與離別。日本怪談的名作不只有恐怖，也有哀傷、詼諧和人情。本作透過百物語之夜的說書，一話一話帶給讀者。

    漫畫劇情Kaidan, Tale One. Hoichi, a blind master of the biwa lute, is summoned night after night to perform for "a person of high rank." But the guests who weep at his tale are the dead of a clan that sank beneath the sea. On the night his whole body is covered in sacred writing, he must not answer, no matter who calls his name.

    漫畫劇情KAIDAN: Japanese Ghost Stories, Episode 4. Kwairyo, a wandering priest who used to be a fierce samurai, spends the night with a kind family deep in the mountains. At midnight he finds their sleeping bodies with no heads. He doesn't run. He quietly hides one of the bodies instead.

  5. 第5話He Drank the Face. Now It Comes Calling — In a Cup of Tea

    漫畫劇情KAIDAN, Episode 5. At a teahouse on New Year's, a stranger's face appears in Sekinai's cup of tea. The hot-tempered young samurai snaps, "Stay out of other people's tea!" and drinks the face down in one gulp. That night, oddly polite visitors begin to call, each promising to repay him. And this story has no ending.

    漫畫劇情怪談傑作集·第6話。暴風雪的山中小屋裡，年輕武士友忠遇見了一位能以和歌回應和歌的姑娘青柳，他違反規矩娶她為妻。即使被大名府邸拆散，他也用一首詩把她換了回來。五年的幸福時光，卻在某天早上的一句「明天，我不能在了」畫下句點。

    原典中的故事故事發生在日本文明年間（1469〜1487年），正值中世紀末期的動盪時代。年輕武士友忠出生於越前，自幼侍奉能登大人（畠山義統）。他相貌俊秀、舉止得體，精通漢學，也擅長作和歌。某次，主君派他前往京城，拜見與畠山家有親戚關係的細川大人，途中必須經過越前。

  7. 第7話十七年後，在旅店端茶來的姑娘 ―阿貞的故事―

    漫畫劇情怪談傑作集·第7話。十五歲就要離世的未婚妻許下約定：「我會再投胎一次，一定會回到你身邊。」十七年後，獨自踏上旅程的男人，在山中溫泉小鎮的旅店裡，遇見一個陌生姑娘為他端來一杯茶。

    原典中的故事從前在新潟，有一位醫生的兒子名叫長尾長生，正在學醫，準備將來繼承父業。他從小就和父親朋友的女兒阿貞訂了親，兩家說好，等長生完成學業就讓兩人成婚。可是阿貞身子一向虛弱，十五歲那年得了肺癆，她自己也明白病已經好不了。
