運送賽姬的西風之神

西風（仄費洛斯）是希臘神話中的西風之神，被認為是帶來春天的溫和之風。拉丁文稱為 Zephyrus，英文稱為 Zephyr。
在故事中，他讓賽姬的衣襬鼓起，把在山上岩石上顫抖的她溫柔地托起，再放到山谷的花叢上。之後他依照丈夫的命令，也負責把來看妹妹的姊姊們從岩山送到宮殿。姊姊們之所以能一再造訪宮殿，都是靠著這陣西風。
原典中的西風不說一句話，只是默默地擔任運送者。這個「被風送走」的安排，在故事的後半也有重要的意義。
