老女官（亡灵女官）
老女官是「无耳芳一的故事」中侍奉贵人的年长女官，她的真面目是平家的亡灵。日文原文称她为「老女」，这是古时武家或贵族家中掌管内宅事务的女性的职名。
迎接被带到府邸的芳一的，正是这位老女官。她请芳一说唱坛之浦一段，众人听后放声痛哭。之后她吩咐芳一：「今后每晚都要来这里说唱，这件事不许告诉任何人。」
一般认为，芳一说唱给他们听的「主公」和众人，就是在坛之浦与年幼的安德天皇一同沉入大海的平家一门。老女官的这番话，成了芳一夜夜前往墓地的关键起因。
