The Youngest Kid is the smallest of the seven young goats in the Grimm fairy tale "The Wolf and the Seven Young Kids."
When the wolf gets into the house, the kids hide under the table, in the bed, in the oven, and elsewhere, but he finds them and swallows them whole one by one. Only the youngest, hidden inside the case of the tall clock, is never found and survives. When the mother goat comes home, the youngest calls out to her from inside the clock and tells her what happened. Then, at her request, the little goat runs home to fetch scissors, a needle, and thread, helping to rescue the brothers and sisters.
In the manga, the youngest kid is the point-of-view character who watches the whole thing from inside the clock.
