和泉式部是誰？
為愛而活的平安時代天才歌人
和泉式部是平安時代中期的女性歌人，以熱情奔放的戀歌聞名。她曾侍奉中宮彰子，與紫式部生活在同一個時代，也是《小倉百人一首》中一首和歌的作者。
在第3話〈和泉式部日記〉中，她仍思念著已故的戀人為尊親王，此時親王的弟弟帥宮送來了橘花，兩人透過和歌往來展開新的戀情。她一面猶豫、一面加深這段感情，最後被迎入帥宮的宅邸。在第11話〈貴船之螢〉中，她在戀人不再來訪時前往貴船神社參拜，看見河邊的螢火蟲，詠歌說：心中愁思之時，連沼澤上的螢火，看來都像是從我身上飄離的魂魄；相傳神明還回贈了和歌。
《和泉式部日記》是一部以第三人稱「女」稱呼自己、帶有物語風格的日記，一般有力的說法認為是和泉式部本人所寫。
