六條御息所（六條妃子）是誰？
化為生靈的高傲戀人
六條御息所是《源氏物語》中光源氏年長的戀人，原是已故前任東宮（皇太子）的妃子。她教養極高、自尊心強，因強烈的執念化為生靈去折磨他人而聞名。
在第6話〈葵〉中，她在祭典當天被葵之上的隨從推開牛車，當眾受辱。此後她每次入睡，都會夢見自己毆打一名陌生女子，害怕自己的靈魂是否離開了身體。附在葵之上身上的怨靈，正是用御息所的聲音詠出和歌。在第2話〈賢木〉中，她自己決定陪同擔任齋宮的女兒前往伊勢，與來到野宮探望的源氏共度最後一夜，親手結束了這段戀情。
生靈事件之後，她發現祈禱時焚燒的芥子香氣滲進了自己的頭髮與衣服，因而毛骨悚然，這是書中著名的一幕。她也是能劇《野宮》、《葵上》的題材。
