和泉式部是谁？
为爱而活的平安天才女歌人
和泉式部是平安时代中期的女歌人，以热烈的恋歌闻名。她曾侍奉中宫彰子，与紫式部生活在同一时代，也是《小仓百人一首》中"我将不久于人世"一歌的作者。
在第3话《和泉式部日记》中，她一直思念着已故的恋人为尊亲王，这时亡人之弟帅宫送来了橘花，两人从和歌往来开始了新的恋情。她虽犹豫不决却越陷越深，最终被迎入帅宫府中。在第11话《贵船之萤》中，恋人不再来访时，她前往贵船神社参拜，望见河边的萤火，咏出"因思恋而望泽中萤火，竟似从我身中游离而出的魂魄"之歌，相传神明随即回赠了和歌。
《和泉式部日记》以"女"自称，是一部物语风格的日记，一般认为是和泉式部本人所写。
