Tome the Carpenter is an Edo-born carpenter in the classic rakugo tale Sokotsu no Shisha who "rescues" the samurai who forgot his message.
In Episode 10, while working at the mansion, he overhears that the samurai can't remember unless someone pinches his backside. Saying "Leave it to me," he poses as a samurai, enters the room, and pinches the man's backside as hard as he can with a carpenter's nail puller. The pain finally makes Jibuemon remember his message, but his answer leads straight to the punchline. The comedy of an Edo craftsman slipping into the world of samurai is another highlight of the story.
