Who Is Henrietta Musgrove?
The elder Musgrove sister, torn in her feelings
Henrietta Musgrove is the elder of the two Musgrove daughters and Louisa's older sister. She is cheerful, fond of Anne, and livens up evening gatherings with the harp and singing.
She and her cousin Charles Hayter, a young curate, had an understanding, but when Captain Wentworth appears, her feelings waver and things grow awkward with Hayter. During a walk, however, she visits Winthrop, where the Hayter family lives, and makes up with him.
Compared with her sister Louisa, she is shown as gentler and more easily swayed by those around her.
