Who Is The Disowned Young Master (Wakadanna)?

A young master who daydreams at the bathhouse counter

Young Master (Yuya-ban)

The Disowned Young Master is the hero of the classic rakugo tale Yuya-ban ("The Bathhouse Attendant"), the heir of a large shop who was disowned by his parents for partying too much. He has no wish to work but is a carefree dreamer.

In Episode 11, after freeloading in the upstairs room of Kumagoro, a craftsman who works for his family's shop, he is sent to work at a public bathhouse. Sitting at the attendant's raised counter (bandai) only while the owner eats, he daydreams about a romance with a customer from the women's bath and acts out both the man's and the woman's parts by himself. The customers in the men's bath watch and roar with laughter. At the end, a customer complains, "My geta sandals are gone," and the young master's outrageous reply, telling him to wear someone else's, is the punchline.
