¿Quién es Charles Musgrove?
El bonachón marido de Mary, aficionado a la caza
Charles Musgrove es el heredero de los Musgrove, la familia de la gran casa de Uppercross, y el marido de Mary, la hermana de Anne. Es un joven de buen carácter al que le encanta cazar.
En realidad, hace años le pidió matrimonio a Anne y ella lo rechazó. Después se casó con Mary y se convirtió en cuñado de Anne. Le cuesta lidiar con las exageraciones de Mary y a veces se desahoga con Anne. Con el capitán Wentworth congenia enseguida y sale a cazar con él.
La novela no explica mucho por qué Anne rechazó su propuesta, pero se intuye que Wentworth seguía en su corazón.
