Who Is The Lion (Another Hired Man)?
The opponent whose last line reveals the truth
Lion (Dobutsuen)
The Lion is the opponent who enters the cage to fight the man in the tiger skin in the classic rakugo tale Dobutsuen. His true identity is revealed in the story's final line, making him the bearer of the punchline.
In Episode 7, as the man in the tiger skin shakes, thinking "This is the end," the lion slowly approaches. Just when he expects to be eaten, the lion whispers in his ear: "Don't worry, I'm hired by the day too." The lion, it turns out, was also a man hired for the job.
