Who Is Tagishimimi?
The half-brother who plotted against his brothers
Tagishimimi-no-Mikoto
Tagishimimi is the son Emperor Jimmu had with Ahirahime while he still lived in Hyuga. He was a half-brother to the three princes born to Isukeyorihime.
After his father Emperor Jimmu died, Tagishimimi took Isukeyorihime, his father's chief queen, as his wife and plotted to kill his three younger brothers. But warned of the danger by their mother's songs, the brothers struck first, and he was killed by the youngest, Kamununakawamimi.
The Kojiki presents this as the first conflict to break out after the death of an emperor.
