Who Is The Voice of the Kibune Deity (Kibune Myōjin)?

The god who answered Izumi Shikibu's poem

The God of Kifune (Kifune no Myōjin)

The Kibune Deity (Kibune Myōjin) is the god worshipped at the Kibune shrine (today's Kifune Shrine) in the hills north of Kyoto. He is revered as a god of water and is also known as a god who grants prayers for love.

In Episode 11, Izumi Shikibu, whose lover has stopped visiting, makes a pilgrimage to Kibune. In a poem she compares the fireflies over the river to her own soul drifting out of her body. According to a legend recorded in the poetry anthology Goshūishū, a reply was then heard in a man's voice: "Okuyama ni tagirite otsuru takitsuse no tama chiru bakari mono na omoi so" (Do not brood so deeply that your soul scatters like spray from a waterfall). The original text says nothing about what the god looked like.
